Letter: Kim is best-qualified for seat

Regarding Terah Pitchford’s July 18 letter, “Beware of campaign tactics,” I’m surprised that she failed to mention that she is the campaign manager for one of the candidates running for state representative for the 17th District against Sam Kim.

The fact that Kim is a former Republican is not the issue in this campaign. It is really no big surprise to hear of a candidate changing party lines. The issue is, actually, who is the best candidate for the job of state representative. Kim’s experience as a Battle Ground School Board member, and as an employee in both public and private sectors, best qualifies him for the position of state representative.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
