Clark County Council slated to make final growth plan decision

Today's hearing ends three years of work on Comprehensive Growth Management Plan update

The Clark County Council will hear testimony and debate on the final draft of its 20-year growth plan update this morning.

Today’s hearing is the final step in a lengthy process twinged with political drama. Clark County has been working on its 2016 Comprehensive Growth Management Plan update for three years, and must submit its final plan to the Department of Commerce at the end of this month.

The council will consider final chapters of the comprehensive plan, such as the environmental element, the transportation element, the housing element and the community design element.
