Ellsworth Springs — The annual Church of the Good Shepherd Women’s Tea fundraiser brought in $23,000 to support the Council for the Homeless Housing Relief Fund and Global Sojourns Giving Circle. The council is dedicated to helping families in Clark County experiencing homelessness secure and get settled in new homes, and the circle champions education and mentoring for young girls in Africa. Each year, the tea committee selects a local and global nonprofit to raise money for through the event, which featured a silent auction. About 190 attended this year.
