Vancouver certified public accountant Mike Plymale was elected chairman of the Washington secretary of state’s Charities Advisory Council. The council advises the Secretary of State Kim Wyman on emerging issues and trends affecting nonprofit groups, fiduciary principles of charitable organizations and others. Plymale has served on the council since 2010. His office is in downtown Vancouver; he focuses on services for the nonprofit sector.

Columbia Credit Union has hired Vancouver resident Wendi Dahlberg as vice president and branch manager of its Washougal branch. Dahlberg has 18 years of experience in banking, seven of which were in leadership roles. Most recently she was assistant vice president and branch manager at Umpqua Bank.

New Businesses

Archaeological Services LLC will open offices July 1 at 601 Officers Row in Vancouver. The consulting firm, founded in 1996 and owned by Alex Gall, assists public and private clients with developing projects to comply with local, state and federal laws related to protecting archaeological sites.

Vancouver resident Larry Wetzel opened an AdvantaClean franchise specializing in mold removal and remediation, water damage cleanup, and coil and air duct cleaning. Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, but services are available for emergencies 24 hours a day. Call 360-216-4616. AdvantaClean is based in Huntersville, N.C., and was founded in 1994.

Other Business

Hobby and gaming store BatCave Games is moving July 1 to 13215 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd., Suite C-9, in Vancouver. Ryan Garringer, store manager, says the larger location will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and “strives to be PG-13 all the time.” 360-980-8138 or batcavegames.com
