Shooting on I-5 leaves man hurt

Calls reported shooting between 2 vehicles in North Portland

PORTLAND — Police say a man was found injured after calls came in reporting people in two vehicles were shooting at each other on Interstate 5 in North Portland.

Portland police say while they were receiving reports of the freeway shooting, another shooting was reported in the area. Police say they believe the two incidents were connected.

Responding officers say they found a heavily damaged car with evidence that someone shot at it. Police say they also located an injured man who was conscious and alert. Police said the type and extent of his injuries were unknown. He was taken to a hospital.

Police were searching for another vehicle involved in the incident, describing it as a silver sedan that could have damage from hitting the other vehicle as well as bullet holes.
