Letter: Value of fire district worth restoring

By Wilfred J. Hudson, Vancouver
Published: June 28, 2016, 6:00am

Fire District 6 is asking the tax-payers to restore the funding that was taken away. The fast-growing Hazel Dell district requires more service, which equates to more funding in order to maintain the excellent speed in their response to fire or medical emergencies.

Over the span of 56 years, my wife and I have always been supportive of funding for Fire District 6. Of all the property tax assessments, this is by far the best value. When you have a fire or medical emergency, fast response and care are on your mind, not dollars.
