“Downton Abbey” fans experiencing withdrawal symptoms after the series finale won’t have to go cold turkey: Feeding their period-drama obsession is a second season of Civil War-era series, “Mercy Street.” PBS recently renewed the drama, set in Virginia’s Old Town Alexandria.

Count on fan favorites, such as “How I Met Your Mother” star Josh Radnor as surgeon Jedediah Foster, to return to the show. A PBS representative did hint at cast additions, however, teasing that there might be some new characters in Season 2.
