Woodland – With residents getting ready for Election Day, Woodland Mayor Will Finn will host two informational forums to educate the public about the city’s transportation benefit district measure.

The two forums will be from 6 to 7 p.m. and 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. Friday in the city council’s chambers, 200 E. Scott Ave., Woodland.

Earlier this year, the city formed a transportation benefit district, which can charge an extra vehicle registration fee or sales tax. That money has to go toward transportation projects in the city. The sales tax needs a simple majority to pass.
