The Seattle Times newspaper has recently spoken against voting for Initiative 735 (an effort to get big money out of elections). The editorial writers base this stance on support for unions whom they claim are also against the measure. Well, guess what, most unions so support Initiative 735 because they have found they don’t have the resources to compete with the Koch brothers and other large special-interest groups. So why has the Times made this claim? You got it — advertising dollars. Now the big question — what comes first, public interest or survival?
