Vancouver – PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center’s chief medical officer of more than 25 years announced he is leaving the organization.

Dr. Alden Roberts moved to the community in 1990 and joined the medical staff of the former Southwest Washington Medical Center. His last day at PeaceHealth is Oct. 31.

Roberts plans to pursue consulting opportunities in patient safety, medical staff leadership and governance development, and disaster management. PeaceHealth will conduct a search for a new chief medical officer.

This is the latest of several PeaceHealth changes in the last year and a half.
