Letter: Support Battle Ground students

By Sue Heise, BRUSH PRAIRIE
Published: October 13, 2016, 6:00am

On our November ballot we have the opportunity to vote for construction and renovation of Battle Ground schools with Proposition 1. Many of our buildings are old and have served their purpose well, but are now bursting at the seams with new students. My son is a Lauren/Prairie graduate, and he got a quality education in Battle Ground schools. We are proud of what he’s been able to accomplish. I want future students to have the opportunities he did.

Information nights about the bond proposal are scheduled for 6 p.m. this evening at Prairie High School, 6 p.m. Oct. 18 at Battle Ground High School, and 6 p.m. Oct. 20 at Glenwood Heights Primary School. Please join me in supporting our students.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
