Letter: Vote in favor of life

Truth does not have the meaning it once did. Politics has bankrupted the word. In most cases it is known only by those telling it. When the liars have us believing their “truth” perhaps it is time for a new word.

With honor it is easier to see through the haze. It is a beacon to those with open eyes. Dishonor, coincidentally, can be seen as well.

Where is the honor of dismembering a living baby in the womb? You cannot destroy its soul, fortunately, but we are destroying ours. Any country that allows the butchery of what is perfect is not honorable.

This nation is at a crossroad. To the left, I believe, is dishonor. To the right there is dishonor but an ember still glows from its conservative core. We do not believe in the destruction of young innocent life. To destroy life for the sake of convenience or an ideal is not honorable, but it is true. Vote your heart this election before we lose that, too. A bumper sticker says it all; “Smile, your mom chose life.”

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
