Two men were arrested Monday in Pierce County in connection to a September shooting at a Vancouver park.

Members of the U.S. Marshals task force arrested Mykola Kovalchuk and Dmitriy Yurchenko, both 20, for a shooting at Marine Park on Sept. 30, Vancouver police Major Crimes Sgt. Jeff Kipp said. Kipp did not know where the two men were from.

They were arrested in connection to a late-night shooting at the park, 4501 S.E. Columbia Way, Kipp said. Two people were injured in the incident.

Kovalchuk and Yurchenko each face two counts of attempted first-degree murder and 11 counts of first-degree assault while armed with a firearm, according to documents filed in Clark County Superior Court.

Arrest warrants for the pair were filed on Oct. 19, but the documents in support of the charges were sealed.
