Non-league football: Battle Ground 35, Beaverton 21

An aggressive passing attack, led by QB Gunnar Talkington put Battle Ground up by three touchdowns in the second quarter.

Beaverton fought its way back into the game with a long drive late in the second quarter, ending in a touchdown on the last play of the half.

Battle Ground maintained its lead after halftime with a firecracker performance by Talkington and receiver Austin Adams, who led the team with 178 receiving yards.

Although Beaverton stayed in the game until the end, Battle Ground sealed the game in the final seconds when defensive back Izak Brundage intercepted Beaverton in the red zone.
