Nominees for high school football player of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Sept. 4. Voting will conclude at 8 p.m. Tuesday with results published in Wednesday’s Columbian.

DARIEN CHASE, MOUNTAIN VIEW: Chase caught 7 passes for 171 yards and two TDs, also interception two passes, returning one 48 yards for TD in win over Ferris.

MATT HENRY, HOCKINSON: Henry caught 7 passes for 136 yards and four TDs in a win over La Center.

LIAM NABORS, KING’S WAY CHRISTIAN: Nabors completed 12 of 20 passes for 371 yards and 5 TDs in win over Fort Vancouver.

HUNTER PEARSON, COLUMBIA RIVER: Pearson rushed for 200 yards on 29 carries and scored a touchdown in an overtime win over Evergreen.

GUNNER TALKINGTON, BATTLE GROUND: Talkington completed 29 of 34 passes for 295 yards and one TD and rushed 16 times for 70 yards and another TD in a win over Beaverton.
