Officers were investigating Thursday after an elderly male walking in east Vancouver was knocked down and robbed by a man on a bicycle.

The robbery was reported shortly before 2 p.m., near the intersection of Southeast 121st Avenue and Southeast Fifth Street.

After knocking the man down, the cyclist reportedly took his wallet, Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp said.

The older man was unhurt and declined medical aid, she said. The suspect was not found.
