Vancouver nonprofit earns award for international program

National Women's Coalition Against Violence and Exploitation received the 2016 Grassroots Impact Award

Hazel Dell — The National Women’s Coalition Against Violence & Exploitation received the 2016 Grassroots Impact Award from the Nonprofit Network of Southwest Washington at a ceremony Sept. 8 at Heathman Lodge. The coalition earned the award for its Gift of Lift bra program, which has collected more than 12,000 bras since 2010 and distributed them to women and girls locally, nationally and internationally. The coalition is a Vancouver-based nonprofit which works to inform, educate and prevent violence and exploitation against women and children around the world.
