SEATTLE – Boeing officials said overtime pay for salaried employees will be severely limited starting next month to cut costs.

The Seattle Times reported Boeing told managers in a memo Tuesday.

The memo cited Boeing’s highly competitive market and said the company will discontinue paid overtime for U.S.-based salaried employees.

The policy goes into effect Oct. 14.
