SENATE PAGE PROGRAM

Two Clark County students recently spent a week in Olympia, working as pages for the Washington State Senate.

Halley Care, a freshman at Hockinson High School, was sponsored by Sen. Lynda Wilson, R-Vancouver, and Symphony Koss, a sophomore at Columbia River High School, was sponsored by Sen. Ann Rivers, R-La Center.

Pages transport documents between offices, deliver messages and mail, and attend page school to learn about parliamentary procedure and the legislative process. Halley is the daughter of Byron and Shawna Care, and Symphony is the daughter of Fangchi and Scott Koss, all of Vancouver.
