Battle Ground man hurt in single-vehicle crash

A Battle Ground man was injured in a single-vehicle crash in Salmon Creek on Sunday night.

Daylin M. Ruotsalainen, 24, was driving a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta east on Northeast 117th Street just before 9 p.m. Sunday when he crossed into westbound traffic and struck a concrete pillar near the Interstate 5 underpass, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Ruotsalainen was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center where he is listed in stable condition.

Deputies do not know the reason for the crash, but are continuing the investigation. No citations have been made.
