Woodland event offers free school supplies, haircuts

Woodland — Woodland Public Schools’ Back to School Bash 2017 will take place 3 to 6 p.m. Aug. 12 at Woodland High School, 1500 Dike Access Road, Woodland.

The event offers free backpacks, school supplies and haircuts, entertainment and refreshments for students in Woodland and the Kalama School District. Woodland Public Library will attend with free books for students to take home.

The Promise Church in Woodland started the event three years ago. Community members and organizations interested in donating can contribute online at www.woodlandaction.org or by contacting Leslie Mohlman at mohlmanl@woodlandpublicschools.org or 360-841-2718.
