MINERAL — Two people fishing in a Washington state lake spotted human remains floating in the water.

KPTV reports Lewis County Sheriff’s Office deputies went to Mineral Lake on Wednesday and pulled the remains from the water.

The sheriff’s office and Lewis County Coroner’s Office are working to identify the person and figure out how they died.

Investigators will see if the remains are 54-year-old Gerald L. Harris, a man from the area who went missing July 5.
