Recreational burn bans lifted as fire risk eases

Camas-Washougal – After 24 hours of cooler, wetter weather, the Camas-Washougal Fire Department on Monday lifted the ban on recreational burning in Camas and Washougal.

The fire department reminded anyone doing any recreational burning — such as campfires, backyard fire rings and the like –to have a garden hose nearby, and that the ban could be reinstated should the weather heat up again.
