Vancouver police and fitness company Nautilus are teaming up for the annual “Shop With a Cop” on Saturday. The event is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

Volunteers with the Vancouver Police Officer’s Guild and Nautilus will help 100 kids get into the holiday spirit by allowing them to shop for gifts for themselves and family members at Target on Northeast Mill Plain Boulevard.

It’s the second year police and the fitness company have worked together. Nautilus is separately marking the 14th anniversary of its own Nautilus Holiday Helpers.

The organizations work with social service agencies helping families in need to identify and select the children who participate. All the children have been preselected. The event is not open to the public.

“This event is such a great way to celebrate the spirit of the holiday season, and I’m grateful for the generosity that the VPOG and Nautilus, Inc. show each year to provide shopping assistance to deserving kids in our community,” said Vancouver Police Chief James McElvain.
