The community donated more than $65,000 to enhance cancer services at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center during a luncheon last month.

More than 250 people attended the Salmon Creek Cares Luncheon on Nov. 16 at the Hilton Vancouver Washington. Money raised at the event went toward the hospital foundation’s $1.5 million fundraising campaign to expand cancer services at Legacy Salmon Creek.

“Our ultimate goal is to help more patients triumph over a cancer diagnosis, close to home,” said Bryce Helgerson, president of Legacy Salmon Creek, in a news release. “Thanks to the community’s generosity, our patients will benefit from state-of-the-art technology in a setting designed especially for their care.”
