A Vancouver driver was hurt Tuesday afternoon in a rear-end crash on Northeast Padden Parkway.

According to the Washington State Patrol, Vancouver’s Alyssa J. Wheelon, 37, was heading east on Padden Parkway, which is also state Highway 500, around 4:30 p.m., near Northeast 137th Avenue, when the Jeep in front of her stopped for traffic.

The state patrol said she rear-ended the Jeep, which was driven by Vancouver’s Mark G. Price, 57. Wheelon was hurt and taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. Her condition was not available.

Price was unhurt, the state patrol said.

The crash totaled both Wheelon’s Honda Civic two-door and Price’s Jeep.

Troopers said Wheelon was following too closely. She was cited for it, along with not having proof of insurance and driving with a suspended license.
