Letter: Support Long for Congress

By Donna Sinclair, WASHOUGAL
Published: December 22, 2017, 6:00am

I recently attended an in-person, standing-room-only (more than 200 people) town hall with 3rd Congressional District candidate Carolyn Long.

Long has been a political science professor at Washington State University Vancouver since 1995. She is smart, funny, knowledgeable, articulate, and she wants to listen. She is running for Congress because she has the knowledge and skills to address dysfunction in politics, because students and others have told her we need her. “How could I not?” she asked.

For 22 years, Long has written about and taught the Constitution. Bringing people together is her specialty. If last week was any indication, she can do it! Learn more at www.electlong.com.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
