Letter: Speak up and vote

Yet one more outrage: an administration headed by a president who possesses the vocabulary of a gerbil (that doesn’t get out much), and suppresses words such as diversity, science-based, evidence-based, and fetus.

Let’s hope that a government so intimidated by literacy might find Santa leaving them a thesaurus.

Where have you arrived when a misguided election drags the majority of a country through a nightmare of shock, fear and shame? Maybe we must revisit the definition of democracy. Democracy is precious, rare and fragile in the face of untethered power and greed.

Exercise the right to be informed, raise your voice and vote.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
