Skyview stepped up its halfcourt trap defense to earn a win at the Nike Interstate Shootout in Lake Oswego, Ore.

Kazie Parks scored nine points and Addie Macpherson added seven. Point guard Remingtin Riley had 10 rebounds.

“For as small as we are, we controlled the boards,” Skyview coach Brett Johnson said.

Skyview (3-6) led 24-12 at halftime, then took advantage of Oregon’s no shot clock rule to milk the clock.

The Storm face Central Catholic on Friday at 10 a.m.
