A man was found dead after a single-vehicle crash early Monday morning in the Brush Prairie area.

Benjamin D. Tiniakoff, 27, of Brush Prairie was driving a 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer east on Northeast 144th Street at about 2:15 a.m., according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

The preliminary investigation indicated that the vehicle crossed the center line into the westbound lanes and left the roadway on the north side and struck a tree, the sheriff’s office said

First responders from Clark County Fire District 3 responded to the crash and found Tiniakoff, the driver and only occupant of the vehicle, had died in the crash, the fire agency reported.

There were no witnesses and traffic detectives are still investigating what caused the crash.

Crews from the Vancouver Fire Department and American Medical Response assisted at the scene.
