CAMARILLO, Calif. — The average price of a gallon of regular-grade gasoline rose 2 cents nationally during the past two weeks, to $2.33. The national average was $1.77 per gallon a year ago.

Industry analyst Trilby Lundberg on Sunday attributed the slight rise to small increases in crude oil and wholesale gas prices; she expects modest increases in the near-term.
