Curt Daniels Invite down to final four

Three Seattle-area based baseball teams and one from Portland make up the final four at the 13th Curt Daniels Invitational.

Round robin play of the 12-team tournament finished Sunday, determining the semifinalists.

Portland Baseball Club (4-1) won the Daniels Division with Baden Baseball (4-1) of Seattle finishing second.

Seattle Stars (5-0) won the Hopkins Division with Boys of Summer (4-1) out of Bellevue finishing No. 2.

Portland takes on Boys of Summer in the 10 a.m. semifinal Monday at Propstra Stadium in Vancouver, followed by Seattle vs. Baden at 12:30 p.m.

The semifinal winners faceoff in the 3 p.m. championship game.

The Vancouver Cardinals went 1-4 in the Daniels Division. They lost their final game on Sunday to Taylor Baseball 9-2. Their win came Friday against Federal Way, 11-0.

Showtime went 2-3 in the Hopkins Division. It also lost its finale on Sunday, 1-0 to Seattle in a game dominated by pitching. Each team had just two hits.
