Lindsey Horan scored two first-half goals as the Portland Thorns beat Sky Blue FC 2-0 on Saturday in Pistcataway, N.J.

Horan scored in the 20th and 42nd minutes as Portland (4-1-3) grabbed its first road win of the National Women’s Soccer League season.

Horan’s first goal of the season came when she headed Nadia Nadim’s long free kick into the top-right corner of the goal.

She added a second with a close-range flick off a low cross by Meghan Klingenberg.

Portland goalkeeper Adrianna Franch made six saves, including stopping a penalty kick in the 56th minute.

The Thorns return to Providence Park on June 17 for another match against Sky Blue (4-4-1)
