Letter: Pike is shameful opportunist

By Kay Bloss, VANCOUVER

How low can people go? Shame on Rep. Liz Pike, R-Camas, and Rep. Matt Shea, R-Spokane Valley, for promoting their own propaganda after such a tragic time in Great Britain (“Response to Manchester has familiar feeling,” May 28, The Columbian).

Approximately 93 people die daily in the U.S. from guns, and they apparently want to promote everyone being armed. That is why we have and support our police force.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
