Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Connections provides opportunities through the Human Services Council.

• Clark County Food Bank is always in need of truck drivers who can lift 40- to 50-pound boxes of donated food. No CDL required, just a strong back and ability to drive a 40-foot box truck.

• Clark County Public Works/Parks Division is recruiting volunteers to help with Whipple Creek Trail maintenance. Upcoming work parties are April 22, May 20, and June 17. Each work party is from 9 a.m. to noon. The site is rather hilly and steep. Volunteers will help with erosion control, trail clearing, digging culverts and other tasks.

• FISH of Vancouver has many onoing volunteer opportunities including front room monitors, clothing room monitors, food sorter, and janitor. Morning or afternoon shifts Monday through Friday.

• Get Bold Events is seeking volunteers for the Blooms to Brews Marathon on April 9 in Woodland. Many different jobs and shift times are available.

• Mount St. Helens Institute seeks volunteers who will enhance visitors’ experiences at the volcano recommending hikes, sharing best places to see wildlife, the natural history of the mountain and more. Minimum age 15.

• Parks Foundation of Clark County is looking for general administrative assistance — primarily data entry — Monday, Tuesday or Thursday mornings.
