Letter: Energy future is bright

By Wayne Mayo, Scappoose, Ore.
Published: March 19, 2017, 6:00am

American fracking has changed the energy market forever. Nimble American drillers with an ample supply of drilling equipment, new and used, an ever decreasing break-even point, and thousands trained in the process will become an ever increasing downward pressure on prices.

Trump will advance pipelines, streamline refinery and drilling permits, and encourage export of value added, finished petroleum products.

OPEC no longer rules. Supply and demand sets prices now.
