Esther Short — After some Vancouver businesses, including Paper Tiger Coffee Roaster and River Maiden Artisan Coffee, were broken into, Compass Coffee staffers wanted to show their support.

During First Friday on March 3, Compass Coffee hosted a latte art competition to raise funds for the two coffee shops, bringing in more than $400, which was split between the two businesses, according to Compass’ Facebook page.

Between 65 to 75 people attended the event, according to the same post.
