Letter: Questions for Herrera Beutler

By Laura Stuart, BRUSH PRAIRIE
Published: May 4, 2017, 6:00am

For the third time, Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler voted against the disclosure of President Trump’s tax returns. She also voted against congressional oversight of Trump on ethics and conflict of interest.

I would like to know why she continues to vote against our interests. Full disclosure has always been demanded of our elected officials. Why does she continue to give Trump a pass? (To clarify, she actually voted for both measures, but her vote was to quash the debate on both).

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
