Clark women’s track team third at South meet

The Clark College women’s track and field team placed third out of seven team at the NWAC Southern Region Championships at Lane Community College in Eugene on Saturday.

Clark’s Chloe Lindbo, a Ridgefield High grad, won the 800 meters in 2 minutes, 23.55 seconds and the triple jump with a leap of 11.37 meters. She was also second in the high jump at 1.53 meters.

The Clark 4×400 relay team also posted a victory as Aislynn Hansen, Sadie Dalgleish, Cassie McKinney and Tresa Marsh won with a time of 4:17.38.

McKinney, a Union High grad, was also second in the 1,500 (4:58.45).

Makala Gardner placed second in the discus (34.32m) and hammer (40.03m).

Olivia Rose finished second in the 200 (27.11) and was third in the 100 (13.15).

In the men’s meet, Clark’s Tupre Wickliff, an Evergreen grad, won the high jump (1.98m).

Columbia River grad James Niemela was second in the shot put (14.46m) and third in the hammer (41.00m). Fellow River grad Dan Nehnevaj was fourth in the 1,500 (4:10.85), and sixth in the 1,500 (16:24.18).

Skyview grad Justin Knowles placed third in the 3,000 steeplechase (10:24.08).

The Clark men’s team placed sixth out of seven teams.
