Roundup: Mountain View baseball falls to Edmonds-Woodway at state

The Mountain View baseball team lost to Edmonds-Woodway 3-1 in the 3A regional at Mount Vernon.

Both teams scored single runs in the first inning. Edmonds-Woodway added runs in the third and fifth inning while shutting out the Thunder the rest of the way.

Jasper Rank allowed three runs on five hits over six innings. Garrett Moen was 2 for 3 and Spencer Warner added a double for the Thunder.

Softball

Montesano 4, La Center 0 — The Wildcats could not get much going with the bats against the Bulldogs in the 1A district championship in Centralia.

Abby England struck out 12 and walked none over seven innings. She also added a double for the Wildcats, who advance to state next week as the district’s No. 2 seed.
