Clark County – Local law enforcement agencies are taking part in a two-week national “Click It or Ticket” campaign focused on seat belt enforcement.

Starting on Monday and lasting through June 4, more officers from Battle Ground, Ridgefield, Vancouver and Washougal police departments, deputies from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and troopers from Washington State Patrol will be out and about to make sure motorists and children are properly restrained. Clark Regional Emergency Services Agency will also have a dispatcher dedicated to monitoring the enforcement.

An $8,000 grant from the Washington Traffic Safety Commission will go toward paying for overtime accrued by officers and dispatchers.
