School teams compete in Battle of the Books

Fourth- and fifth-graders from eight district elementary schools will compete in the June 3 “Citywide Battle of the Books,” according to a news release.

The competition will take place at 10 a.m. in the Community Room at the Vancouver Community Library branch of the Fort Vancouver Regional Library at 901 C St.

Students will compete to answer questions based on 10 books. Participating Vancouver Public Schools elementary schools are Eisenhower, Felida, Fruit Valley, Hazel Dell, Lincoln, Ogden, Salmon Creek and Truman.

The event is not open to the public due to space constraints.
