Scott, Krog, Pearson earn runner-up finishes at 1A-2B-1B track

La Center’s Jeremy Scott and Stevenson’s Lincoln Krog and Austin Pearson had runner-up finishes at the Class 1A-2B-1B state track and field meet in Cheney.

Scott was second in the boys 1A 110-meter hurdles in 15.75 seconds. Stevenson’s David McAndie was fifth (16.09). Krog was second in the 1A high jump at 6 feet, 4 inches. La Center’s Nate Beed was fourth (6-2). Stevenson was second in the 1A boys long jump (22-2 1/4), and teammate Isaac Hoidal was eight (20-9).

King’s Way Christian’s Justin Frahm was third in the 400 (50.30), and La Center was sixth in the 1,600 boys relay.

La Center’s Natasha Lewis was eighth in the 3,200 (11:46.90) and King’s Way Christian’s MacKenzie Ellertson was eighth in the 200 (26.26).
