A driver was killed early Wednesday morning when he was ejected during a car crash in north Clark County and the vehicle rolled on top of him, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to a single-vehicle crash at 5:15 a.m. in the 10500 block of Northeast Cedar Creek Road. Arriving deputies found an adult man dead at the crash scene.

The preliminary investigation found that the man had been driving a 1991 Honda Accord east on Northeast Cedar Creek Road, when the vehicle crossed into the westbound lane and went off the road, crashing in a farm pasture, the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies say the driver was thrown from the vehicle, which then rolled over him.

The Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the man’s name once next of kin is notified.

The vehicle had been reported stolen out of Cowlitz County, deputies said.

Detectives with the agency’s traffic unit are continuing their investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
