Battle Ground — Students at Captain Strong Primary School raised more than $1,235 for Hurricane Harvey relief.

The fundraiser was started by Sandee Myers, a physical education teacher at the school. Students were encouraged to bring in spare change, which was then collected by student volunteers who traveled around the school with a change bucket and wagon.

The money will be donated to the American Red Cross.
