Letter: Herrera Beutler is on right track

It’s almost humorous! Every two years, a few Clark County residents, many whom have never voted for Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Battle Ground, start sending letters to the editor, complaining about something that she is or isn’t doing for them. They didn’t vote for Herrera Beutler, but they don’t want you to vote for her in 2018 — so they begin throwing stones about this time of year (and for the next 12 months) — in hopes that uninformed voters vote for her Democratic challenger.

I’ll be willing to bet that they have not gone to her website to see what good things she is working on, and I imagine they don’t review her voting record every week (Washington, D.C., roll call), like I do.

I have voted for Herrera Beutler every time she has run for Congress. I agree with how she votes about 95 percent of the time and am proud of how she represents the 3rd District. She will have my vote in November 2018.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
