MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — A husband and wife who had pleaded guilty to mistreating their 16-year-old son in Washington have been arrested in South Carolina.

The Sun News of Myrtle Beach reported that police arrested 45-year-old Anthony Shaun Foxworth and 43-year-old Mary Gloria Foxworth at a motel last weekend.

Police say the couple had pleaded guilty last month to first-degree criminal treatment and were scheduled to be sentenced in a Lewis County courtroom Nov. 1.

The Foxworths were found in a Myrtle Beach motel room Saturday. They are awaiting extradition to Washington.

Police in Centralia said the parents were arrested after their 16-year-old son was found, weighing only 54 pounds and unable to stand or open his mouth. Police in Washington say the boy is recovering.
