Letter: Speak up about tax plan

By Lenny Hendricks, Vancouver
Published: November 17, 2017, 6:00am

Lowering taxes and taking away deductions equals a mess. I listened to CPAs explain the bureaucratic web of deception.

Let’s all write and call to create pressure on our elected officials to do better on the federal tax plan.

During the Bush years we made a difference. We swamped switchboards and emails of our Republican Party officials to scrap their suggested reforms on immigration.

Yes immigration is still a mess, but we kept it from being worse. As we all have realized, just because Republicans, Democrats or a president think it, doesn’t mean it’s good.

Stop this mess called tax reform.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
