Two people were injured Friday in a three-car chain reaction crash on state Highway 503 north of Battle Ground, according to the Washington State Patrol.

A WSP report said the crash occurred at 3:32 p.m. about one mile north of Battle Ground when a 2011 Honda CRZ driven by Jillian A. Sharp, 24, of Battle Ground crashed into the rear of a 2002 Saturn driven by Matthew A. Myers, 29, of Yacolt.

The force of the impact propelled Myers’ Saturn into the rear end of a 2013 Fiat 500 driven by Andrew J. Richards of Hayden Lake, Idaho. Both Myers and Richards had slowed for traffic in the highway’s northbound lanes when the crash occurred, the WSP reported.

Sharp and Myers were transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, according to the WSP report. Their conditions were not immediately available.
