Letter: Herrera Beutler unrepresentative

By Linda Nelson, Vancouver
Published: November 25, 2017, 6:00am

Having been born in Washington state, I assure you Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Battle Ground, does not represent my interests and obviously not the rest of her constituents either. Does she realize the volume of citizens that work in Oregon living in her district and they pay personal income tax to Oregon, or does she care? I think she is too busy taking orders from her party and fulfilling her corporate donor’s wishes to care about town hall meetings, etc. So please stop saying how you are representing Southwest Washington and resign. We do need tax reform but not for the way it is presently written.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
